He was on 810 tonight and said the following: "This is a young team, guys. Don't expect this to be a normal year. We don't have the #1 and #2 picks on this team. The guys are still trying to find a way to play together, but this team is not guaranteed to be at the top of the conference and definitely isn't a top seed in the tournament".

It's not even midnight madness yet and he's already throwing in the towel and calling out his players.

Underpromise/overdeliver. He does this every year. I know many folks around here hang on his every word, but that is folly. Im of the opinion that Self's primary use of the media is to motivate his players. O hey guys, remember how no one thought this team was a #1 seed?

I do think the quality of their coaching staff has gone down. Bill has lost two DBO that use to be former head coaches. Kurtis Townsend, Jerrance Howard and Norm Roberts are all know as recruiters. I though last year they weren't as sound as before. Bill wants to be more like Kentucky, jealously is a bitch.
