Kansas State has offered 2015 Cushing Academy (MA) guard Jalen Adams, his coach announced.
Teaming up with Joseph in the Cushing backcourt is the explosive Jalen Adams, a 6-1 combo guard. Adams, a sophomore, already has verbal offers from Providence and UConn. Pastore thinks many more offers will be on the way.
"Jalen is an elite-level athlete, and a guy who simply scores the basketball," said Pastore. "He can score in a number of acrobatic ways, he has great explosion, and he really plays over the rim.
"Jalen made a name for himself this summer with the Rivals, and he'll be a wonderful complement to Kaleb at Cushing. I am sure Maryland and many more schools will be following him closely in the next couple years.
"He's one of those guards who simply knows how to create separation from his defender."
I like the idea of going after potential high-level guys early. Seems like low risk, high reward, and you have the chance at developing a rapport with a player that may eventually convince him to go to a worse school than some that get in on him later. If he doesn't pan out later in high school, you just lose the hours you spent recruiting him.
