If you take your girl to the local dairy queen and see this stud sitting inside you better just turn that truck around if you want to keep your girl.

He's the reincarnation of this guy

I don't know anything about farm stuff so those parts were whatever for me. I was more focused on him having the mannerisms of a 68 year old. His, "how the hell am I going to get out of this conversation" technique was also very elite.

Yeah the way he said "Well I'm gonna look around for a lil bit" was top notch

Wonder if crops U is already recruiting him. He's gotta already got some talk of being a 5 ears of corn/shock of wheat recruit

Man, we had him all comfortable in the back seat until today, then I hit a rut and bounced his 60 lb carcass off the Gator today.

Got back on, but he was reluctant  so Mrs8 rode in the back with him.

Poor guy, glad she was able to get him comfortable.

Snapped a couple pics that included Rice-Eccles while out for a run yesterday.  The setting!!

Stadium is just left of center in the first, far right in the second

Road game destinations have improved immensely through all this

Can ISU drink Ireland dry?

Irish can't drink it dry so I doubt it. It's also a bit more of a feat when it's Guinness and not natty light

Iirc her very good friend is a squawk, so it's nice she's supporting her friend in this time of stadium disappointment

You're recalling correctly. Her BFF went there. I know plenty of friends who saw her around lawrentucky in the early 2010s

I'm going to try Ponaks today for lunch  :D

One of my first times at Ponaks was a work lunch. I had just graduated. I had never and will never be more pak'd at work. If it was a real company like 5 of us would have been canned that day.

I'm there about every 10 days if someone is looking to kill me, that would be the place to start.

Ponaks is incredibly tasty, weirdly I have never been that pak'd there. Definitely imbibed but not insanely so.

He is marking jurors so that they can be sniffed out and confronted in the wild.

Given how far his supporters are up his ass they are probably pretty intimate with the smell of their dear leader

It's enough to make a sports infrastructure nerd cry  :bawl:

Years upon years of opportunity to do this project at 1/3 the price.

Then tearing down an historic structure to build a value engineered MLS'ified stadium that is not in keeping architecturally with anything on their campus . . . it's just a tragedy.   :frown:

I'm also hearing rumblings that the general rake of the stands will be more fitting for futbol viewership and not American Football viewership. Apparently Cliff wants to see that Lawrentucky hosts some WC practices.

I personally am excited to see who will use CPKC's stadium as their home base for WC26

One that seems to be going in the opposite direction of the norm:  Starbucks.

They incentivize you to use their app via free crap every so often, birthday drinks, etc.  The app used to ask you, after every purchase, how much you would like to tip.  They took that function away a year or so ago.  So now, you pay with the app, but if you don't have cash(lol, what's that) their employees get no tip.  Kinda wild.

I assume they found some legal reason to stop doing this and just took the option away before they got sued, but who knows.  Given the tip environment everywhere else, this one is a head scratcher.

when you are checking out on the starbucks app it has the total at the bottom and then a little button that says "wanna leave a tip?" but you do not have to engage with that button in order to complete your order.

I get my hair cut at a local salon called Great Clips, where you can buy a card that pre-buys X number of haircuts so when you're done you just swipe the card and that's it for the transaction. The problem is that it makes tipping impossible unless you have cash cause they cannot separately charge your credit card for just a tip.

I actually find that awkward cause I know those people cannot be making much money at all if they're not getting tips. Because you see, even though you might think the highest priority at Great Clips is a great haircut, they are also very focused on making the experience affordable with a great price.

Whether it's Great Clips or any barber shop I tip fairly generously. Most make it very personal and do a great job, and especially post pandemic they were hurting for business and it's worth throwing a few extra at them.

Yeah, it's gotten pretty pervasive in Canada as well. It's small tips at Tim Hortons but still, 7% for a drive through or airport coffee order? Just seems ridiculous. And yeah most tip prompts here only start at 20% and go up from there.

My first thought  was that logo is backwards for that side of the field, but I guess that's how it's done for TV.  I had never really noticed that.

...carry on with the revenue discussion.

More meant weird given them being in the conference. I think if it was Arizona I'd be so hard to comprehend. Yes I know they're joining it just like the new 4 this year going to take a bit, I think for the ex Pac schools (not named Colorado) longer cause they came from a Power Conference.

Guess still used to schools leaving not joining.

I've never heard of EADA. That's a pretty nifty site.

The actual football and basketball related revenues are pretty even between KU and KSU. But KU appears to be kicking our asses in making money on other sports. KSU made a total of $724,806 in sports other than FB and BB, while KU made $7,309,243.  :Wha:

The anomaly with KU is $133,367,608 for revenue not allocated to any sport. I have no idea what that is but it dwarfs the same line item for Texas ($37,043,295) which is almost the exact same as KSU's ($37,867,002).

Can you really call money for a FB stadium not allocated to a sport?

Honest question without having spent any time looking, how do other school compare? I mean do we utterly suck at getting $$ for vball, tack and field, tennis etc, or is ku wholly above a ton of people here.
