The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / label your fellow posters

no self-identification, only name calling of peer posters.  you can argue why you don't fit into a particular box but can't say why you are a better fit somewhere else.

A thread for HFBIQ-types to discuss plays and concepts.

The first entry is pretty soft, but look forward to lots of exciting scheming.

If homegrown DL Walker and Dishon make leaps as sophomores rather than enduring slumps while Snyder’s staff builds around them and local products like DTs Will Geary and Mitch Copeland or DEs Tanner Wood and Kyle Ball have strong years then there’s a chance that Snyder could ride off into the sunset after winning one last Big 12 title.

The author, Ian Boyd, is a Texas alum and knows Cat football pretty well.

It is now just an even money shot that US President-elect Donald Trump leaves office via impeachment or resignation, according to the latest odds.

Let's keep an eye on this.

Quote
To visit UK before the end of 2017     1/5
NOT to be re-elected as President in 2020     1/2
To serve full term    4/5
To leave office via impeachment or resignation before end of 1st term    1/1
To visit Russia before the end of 2017    5/4
Obama still to be sitting President on Feb 1 2017    5/1
Nigel Farage to be next UK Ambassador to the US    7/1

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / The Management of Savagery
« on: June 12, 2016, 01:04:46 PM »
(I'm pulling from a couple books and articles here. This is meant to be informational.)

The Management of Savagery is a 113-page essay written in 2004 by an Al-Qaeda associated Iraqi named Abu Bakr Naji. "...it posits a world in which the superpower halo of the United States has disappeared and the Muslim world within the colonial boundaries known as the 1916 Sykes-Picot agreement has descended into chaos — “savagery,” as the author bluntly puts it."

TMoS is a manual intending to teach jihadists lessons from past failures and give a common vision for the future creation of an islamic state. It outlines stages of the jihadist struggle around a few main ideas:

Disruption and exhaustion: In which terrorist attacks damage the economy of enemy powers and demoralize their populations.
Management of Savagery: A phase of violent resistance with an emphasis on carrying out acts of highly visible violence intended to send a message to both allies and enemies.
Empowerment: The establishment of regions controlled by jihadists which can subsequently grow and unite toward the goal of recreating the caliphate.

Al-Qaeda's intellectuals believe that ISIS began the Empowerment stage much too soon and this is a main source of the rival faction's disagreement. They(this includes Bin Laden himself) have stated that the Disruption and Exhaustion stage will take decades.

I could go on and on but you can read the thing for yourself online.

today, isis hacked the u.s. central command twitter account and posted addresses of generals and their families. a really great move on their part to drag us deeper into the region.

Some background:
 - Feinstein had been an apologist for the intelligence community until this incident
 - Despite the CIA being under the executive office, Obama says “not something that is an appropriate role for me and the White House to wade into at this point.”

tl;dr - The CIA is spying on and manipulating Congress and POTUS says "meh."

Sounds like a lot of people wanted to get tight with the EU and then Putin put his big nose in and mumped it up and now people are dying and they sent a text to demonstrators notifying them that they are lawbreakers.

That is all I know. Someone link/tell me some better info, please.
