Good to hear. Most of the time, people look at me like I'm still listening to Hootie & the Blowfish (which I also am, but that's entirely unrelated).

Best cake CD IYO? I love a few songs on "prolonging the magic", but "Fashion Nugget" was a great album. Still listen to it constantly.

BTW, did anyone else's music tastes pretty much stall out about 21-22 years old?

I want to punch Owl City in the face and crush a beer can on his unconscious head.

Dude, I almost feel like you're calling me out with that list.

First time I heard Fireflies I literally thought it was a joke song.  Owl City is one of the few "bands" I would actually rank below Nickelback.


OK, now I'll flush away my music credibility: I was taken to a Barry Manilow concert by an ex and I thought it was one of the best/most entertaining shows I had ever seen.  The guy has talent and his songs are catchy.  Also, Bill Clinton came on stage and played sax for one the songs.

I trend mostly towards indie and classic rock, but I have a few guilty pleasures that usually result in a wonky look from others - ABBA, Cowboy Mouth, Cold War Kids and the Descendents among others.

But I just can't quit ABBA.  Nope.
