Also probably some big players are using this to manipulate the price so they can buy in bulk at a huge discount.

So here's the thing with ETH right now.  China banned all ICO's which were almost all built on the Ethereum network.  The Ethereum blockchain has grown 33% since July to ~300 GB.  Canada however is welcoming ICO's and the US still does.  The SEC is looking really hard at ICO's because they are basically stocks, there's really nothing else they could be classified as.  It's a way to bypass the VC's and the IRS right now.

I'm very cautious of ETH right now which is partly why I sold what I had and bought more LTC with it.  It could make you a millionaire tho so idk why you wouldn't.

Like even if I sold my core position right now(which is very large) I would still get a great great return.  However this is frustrating, rough ridin' fake news from a government is affecting a world wide decentralized currency.  China and South Korea are the biggest players, with China having ~70% of the hash power.

Decentralized world currency shouldn't be affected this much by one rough ridin' article that the government is shutting down exchanges.  That completely defeats the purpose of a decentralized currency.  Maybe the lesson learned is because exchanges are centralized they have a larger than consequenced effect on the market.

I get it, a massive majority of the worlds current crypto user are effected.  However this is why you don't rough ridin' centralize mining to begin with.  Sure, this was inevitable with the cheap electricity and equipment, but man it hinders expansion.

Are you just using CoinBase or an order book exchange?  Usually the best times to get the super low prices are the very early hours.  I place buys at low numbers and hope to catch the short deep dips.

I'm using Coinbase, I just meant I'm hoping for a huge sell off down to the low 40's again so I can buy a bunch more for cheap.

Now rumors are China will shut down the exchanges and create their own.  This would nationalize them and they would have more control.  What this does to the price I have no idea, I think bullish.  It invites even more big players to the market IMO.

I think the blood is officially in the streets now.   I'm hoping for $50 by midweek.

So here's the deal.  China has banned Bitcoin before, yes, the crypto itself.  This isn't a ban of crypto, just the exchanges themselves.  They never existed early on, they have evolved to facilitate easier trade.  Merchants in China can still accept crypto.

This is like the 5/6 "bubble" that has happened.  What this represents is a buying opportunity.  It's the discount rack where what you are buying will come into style in the future.  This isn't new.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, if you aren't willing to risk it all, don't invest in this market.

LiteCoin is up STILL over 1500%, so this isn't something to be worried about.  Sure I didn't venture beyond BTC and mostly ETH before, but that doesn't mean I am bailing now.

Go Cats.

Also there has been a very accurate contributor that has said BTC will drop back into the below 2500 range, and that it was coming soon. They had been right about many other rises and falls, however, unless inside trading this is inside trading.

Since this market isn't regulated, insider trading is legal, people(and probably China's gov) making millions(possibly billions in the future).

This is like the 5/6 "bubble" that has happened.

There have been a couple of dips comparable to this one already this year. From my standpoint, nothing has really changed since the beginning of the year.

I would say the only comparable one this year was in July when BTC got down to ~1800 from 2700 and LTC got to ~38 from ~55.
