I don't have a gmail.com address for work. It's just powered by gmail.

I was surprised to see a large federal government agency using a gmail powered client.

I've been waiting to use the microwave FOREVER because I can hear someone in the break room "using it" as they are in the process of preparing some goddamn five course meal. Like, 15-20 minutes to prepare your lunch at work? GMAFB.

This didn't annoy me, but it was shocking/gross:

We had the annual meeting today where they said how the company did last year. It's always followed by a catered lunch. The guy next to me had to catch a flight and left his dessert half eaten. A few minutes later I watched as another guy at the table start eating it. WTF.

For context these 2 aren't related, romantically involved, or even close friends. I'm not sure the guy that left for the airport would have been ok with guy #2 eating off his plate.

Maybe a Pet Peeve cross post, but I get annoyed when I see people at work walking around with their laptop balanced on one hand and reading their screen intently and being a general nuisance by not paying attention to where they're going. It's like "Oooh look at me I'm so busy and important I have to get some laptopping in while I'm walking."  It's not like the building is so huge you have to do that to gain productivity. You can go from a meeting room on the 3rd floor to a meeting room on the first floor and on the other side of the building in like 3 minutes.

Does anyone know of an online meeting package (like Go To Meeting) which is compatible with Windows XP?

I can only imagine how infected that machine is if it's connected to the internet.

I no longer go to the office ever. Except the home office which is very far away every once in a while. It’s weird.
