we dont live in the MB hdd world anymore clams, we havent for a long time, we play in the GB and TB world now.  free space errors because my page file is bigger than the capacity of my hdd is a thing of the past.  and frankly has nothing to do with this bug.

lol you know absolutely nothing about software.  hilarious and cute and sad all at the same time.

Why would my PowerShell not recognize some cmdlets that PowerShell on another machine does? Is there some library that I am missing or something?

Actually it is probably one of the more simple questions.

We are both on XP and both using PowerShell 1.0.

So you are telling me that a virus attacked very specific commands within PowerShell which I just installed?

there is probably a virus you got ~14 months ago that was just dormant and when you installed that it triggered something and now your computer is pretty much part of a bot army

Alright you guys, I'm gonna start a series ITT that will be similar to the stadium comparo thread, but for Operating Systems.  Once every couple of weeks, or week, depending on how busy I am, I am going to review a different Operating System.  Based on how it acts and works I'll use it for a few days and give you guys my thoughts on it.  I find them very interesting so maybe someone else will too.  Feel free to add your own too!

This first one I just got tonight, so I will probably do another update after a few days if I like it.

First up:  CentOS 7        https://www.centos.org/
Hardware setup: Quad core Intel i7, 8GB RAM

After you get everything loaded and installed this is the main landing page.  Just went with the default background.  Apparently this is the first 64-bit distro that they have released, as all previous have been of the 32-bit flavor.  The bottom right corner comes with 4 desktops, didn't mess around with it a lot, but click to cycle through them.  Like many other Linux distros most of the navigation stuff is at the top, but unlike Ubuntu there is no sidebar by default.  With the hardware setup, I thought it would be a little faster than it was.  It wasn't slow by any means, but not as snappy as most clean installs are.

The main file explorer looks a lot like Windows 10, but is also very similar to OS X, granted most of these all look the rough ridin' same.

Comes with Firefox as the default browser, as like many other distros.  Has several different programs that it comes with and these are the 'Office' equivalent.  They look kinda sketch, but without having used them yet, I can't judge a book by its cover.

This a program that came with it, called Empathy.  I guess its a instant messaging program, not sure but probably by default it connects to other CentOS users, but as with most open source software, it probably works on everything else too.  Just thought the name was kind of interesting.

TBT, don't you use the the Linux Lab in Nichols every once in a while? Libre Office is what they have installed on those machines.
