Type one of your passwords in that, then google the resulting hash.

it comes out tonight but it's probably got a super long wait list, I'm assuming it will be a day or two before downloads start for anyone just signing up, but probably a lot longer.

gonna get one of my VM's signed up tonight when I get home. if you can wait a couple weeks it will probably be better if you want most of the major bugs to be worked out already. these first couple weeks should be interesting

the way it was built, if your computer runs fine on windows 7 or 8, it will run fine on 10.  the hardware minimums for 10 are the exact same as for windows 7 & 8.  which is pretty crazy that they have added a ton of functionality and features, without required hardware performance, which is part of why they are giving free upgrades.  also because they have terrible software migrations compared to apple

I need to revert my desktop back to my legal copy of 7 tonight for this reason

I heard a while back that they would be upgrading for free even to those on pirated versions.   :dunno:

It was their way of finding out who has it to better control piracy of Windows in the future, or something.

Whenever I hear that a super big company is doing something big for free, it makes me think that Microsoft found some super vulnerability or something and think it would be more cost effective to do this for free than to have something major happen and have them get pinned as liable.  I am normally a realist, rather than pessimist, believe it or not.

I was just reading about this today.  If you have a invalid licensed windows 7, you'll just end up with a invalid licensed windows 10.  I have quite a few good spec'd XP machines that could easily run 7 (and therefor 10) and thought about upgrading them all on the same 7 license, just to see what happens when i upgrade them all to 10.
