It's kind of crazy that the proponents have allowed the debate to be about local flyer conveniences.  Locals are aware of what the airport is and can plan to show up at the optimal time where they won't have to be stuck in the shithole.  The need for a better terminal is to try to prove to visitors - leisure, but more importantly, business - that they haven't time-traveled back like 15 years or landed in a third-world country.

Was there a plan for how to get an amazon rep to visit KC without having to go through the airport?  Drones?
Every answer to that is "airports aren't malls, it works fine for me, I don't care about business travelers coming here"

Oh, 15-30 minute TSA wait is the worst case scenario? That's pretty pud.

Also, there are so many waits at an airport other than TSA wait, why worry so much about that one?

I think that is the common scenario.  I think I posted about my 75 minute wait from January ITT.

What other waits are there in an airport?  Waiting for the bartender at the lounge?

Wait for long term parking shuttle after parking car, wait during shuttle ride, wait while others exit shuttle, wait to check in and/or check bag, wait while riding escalators/conveyors/trains to terminal, wait in terminal for boarding, wait for everyone to eff with stowing their crap and sit in their seats on the plane, wait for the rough ridin' slow ass pilot to start driving, wait on the runway behind seven other slow ass pilots until you are rough ridin' cleared for rough ridin' take off, wait for-rough ridin'-ever for them to open that goddamn door, wait for everyone to retrieve their crap and deplane, wait for baggage at the carousel, wait for the rental car shuttle, wait in line for the rental car counter, wait once you are at the rental car counter, and wait to pay for long term parking before leaving.

Ok the grand max with a sprint center event is the worst. I am at a south bound stop at 31st and main and there are three (3) max buses stopped at the same exact time. Should be 10 mins apart but they're all backed up from the rerouting. They need to figure out a better alternate route

Help me understand how that's due to a reroute at 14th...I've been at 31st southbound this time of night prior to the Grand move and had that exact situation because I had got on the plaza only one and decided to jump out at 31st and wait for the waldo one....when I got out, the effing thing was right behind me.

probably needs to reroute at like 10th vs. 12th....dedicated streetcar lane in midtown and all your troubles will go away....move Main MAX east a few blocks.

Has to do with the new airport and it has everything to do with how efficient it currently is.

Tapatalk doesn’t show bolded text anymore(or even the markup) but I bolded the super lib part, that’s what my question was about.

Is a big element of the perceived current convenience how short of a distance it is from one’s parked car to the building?

Well the most relevant way is that no tax money would be used to build it. Ok your turn
