a lot of small details set up in this one to prepare us for the last episodes of the season. Rick's mistake of not trusting people will probably come back to bite him since the people he kicked out of the prison are going to help the governer.
the show does create a lot of weird pulls in the audience's loyalties because of stuff like this. for example: i hate the governor (obvz antagonist), identify with rick (obvz protagonist), but i can't fault tyrese, who i also think is a completely decent dude due to the preventing of the shovel massacre at the prison, for saying "eff that guy for putting a gun on me" and joining forces with the governor for an opportunity at a normal life and safety.
another character that creates a huge amount of conflict within the viewer is merle. can you trust him to continue to work with the group and to chalk up his past discretions to "gustapoism"? idk? probably plenty of twists left though with him... "if there are any problems with your brother, it's on you."
