I prefer my Manhattans with rye, up, 2 to 1 whiskey/vermouth. Controversial opinion but I'm not a big Maker's Mark fan. The only wheated bourbons I've ever cared for are those of the Weller/Van Winkle line.

I did 1.5 oz maker's with 1 oz vermouth and a few splashes of bitters. I like rye as well, but this cask strength was on a major sale that I couldn't pass up.

I finished my bottle of Trace during the Cats' game. Time to go shopping for a vacation bottle. Need a good bourbon for the beach.

Tried some Rebel Yell a couple bottles ago. Not bad.

Thinking I'll grab a Bulleit Rye or a Booker for the trip.
