crying?

off and on.  which is apparently adorable and means it needs to go back to it's mother and everyone crowd around her for their turn to touch it.

i like it when moms bring their babies into the office.  it provides me additional data on my coworkers from which i can use to form a more complete opinion on them.

yeah, if I walk by a coworker with a baby I just kind of smile and make my eye's big and keep walking.

the parading of the baby down the hallways is about to begin!  everyone prepare to be introduced to a smelly baby even if you don't know who this sweat pant wearing baby factory is!

I am getting ready to have a pretty loud/aggresive fake phone argument.

oh god. anybody that goes in to work for any reason on a day when they are not working is just screaming "look at me! hey everybody look at me!". the baby is just a prop for someone dying for attention. i double ignore those people.

Baby started to lose it's crap and despite tons of weird sounding noises made by it's mother it wouldn't quit so it left.  BACK TO WORK EVERYONE!

im horrible with baby names. so when they bring the baby/kid in multiple times, i have to guess the gender and go with a generic compliment. "Oh my, what a cutie, ugh, he is!"
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

I always ask the parent if we got bought out of the insurance industry and purchased stock in a nursery.  They usually give me a sad look and probably assume I'm joking with them and am not actually mad about it.  They are wrong.  One lady's babysitter backed out at the last second.  So she sat her 10 year old in one of the break rooms.  He was just in there playing his nintendo ds for like 3 hours when someone told her that she can't just set her kids in our break room for her work day.  She then started crying.

Gushing over babies and kids is the stupidest thing on earth unless you are related to them. Even then, it better be a direct relation not 2nd cousins or some crap. Also, if you are going to gush over a baby you better realize strangers and the rest of everyone that isn't family don't give a eff about you and your babies.

Also, can we talk about baby pictures?  Unless I see your baby on a weekly basis, I don't give a crap about it so I sure as hell don't want to see pics of it.

yup, God forbid that a parent is proud of their baby child and wants to share the biggest part of their life with their co-workers who, incidentally, are the other biggest part of their lives.

this place never ceases to amaze.  kudos to all.

Oh man, I can't believe I missed this thread...couldn't agree more.

I am also not a fan of "Bring your distraction to work day" when jackasses haul their kids into the office and have them basically spend the day color in their cubes and disrupting meetings.

The worst conversation I can ever stand to even hear is when a parent gushes about Johnny crap stain is the best player on some pop warner football team.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I find it laughable that some are so concerned with a loss in production, yet they spend all day on goEMAW.com and most likely facebook/twitter.

How does my goEMAWing disrupt the entire office?  It doesn't.  Also, most of us are roughly twice as productive as our counterparts...so, everyone is winning.  go cats.
