Very disappointed, was waiting for an anti-cilantro retort.  Even if I do love cilantro.

 :surprised:

Try Chives, then.  I grown mine in a pot that I leave out all year round(including winter) and it comes back every spring, which is pretty unheard of for other plants.

If you can't grow chives, then you should either hire a gardener and give them only generalized ideas of what you want and just roll with what they give you, or you should give up.

I think my basil died from the cold snap a few weeks ago. The parsley and mint and tomato plants that were right next to it are fine. I just assumed basil was a fp, tc, etc.

Try pepperoncini peppers.

Yes the rock is part of the landscaping.

No green onions are not just baby onions.

that's why I don't plant chiles they have at your local hyvee/dillons/bakers.  also, basil and tomatoes are much better fresh.

It's really not, especially for something like tomatoes. I mean seriously you just plant the tomatoes and then pick them when they turn red.

Mint is great for gardens.  Really nice aroma for the entire yard.

I hope so, as it will crowd out and spread all over the entire yard if not contained right.

Mint can be invasive as hell.  Have some chocolate mint that can't be killed :shakesfist:.  I do like pulling every year though because of the aroma.

Went to the farmers market over the weekend and picked up some Basil, Sage and Parsley.  Can't do any veggies because I can't kill the bunnies (that will eat them) that are roaming around my house.  Refuse to build a fence or some type of dumb looking bunny barricade.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

go to the store and make a list of the most expensive vegetables that you eat, plus the ones they don't have.  then plant everything on the list.

lol, at these midwesterners complaining about mint being invasive.  what do you people drink, one mojito a year?

Given your almond story, it is obviously the hungry squirrel.

I have Bannan peppers, jalapenos, cayan sp? and another kind of pepper I can't think of right now.  Also sweet corn, squash, zuccini, watermelon, cantalope, pumpkins, cucumbers, potatos, tomatos 2 cherry 2 bigger tomatos,  Bush beans, carrots, lettus.  some strawberries, asparagus, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, winter onions, rubarb.

I don't care for rubarb but I cut it and take it to the cafe I eat at regularly and give it to the cook who makes great pies (I don't eat them but I've heard) She usually gives me a couple free meals for the produce also give her the asparagus for a soup she makes, more free meals.

Also just planted 3 new apple trees.

Fuji, Gala, and Honey Crisp

what rootstock?  you should plant a lot more, but not just dessert apple varieties.  i heard somewhere that in decent apple country you can expect about 5 tons of apples/acre in a good year.
