Title: Big Meat Critique. Game to game.
Post by: renocat on November 12, 2017, 04:01:51 AM
American.  Grade B.
Mantool,  Mawein, after he started did good.  Oscar says he has to get better to play against Big 12 meat. This was his 1st D5 game.  The 4 man Lockerplant did better than a C, my season goal for them.

Competition was very low level in this game but both Mawien and Sallah showed a lot.  Both can move, both can finish at the rim at least against lower level competition. The two had 15 rebounds in 32 minutes of playing time.  Some shot blocking and they did good job of hedging on screens and still getting back to cover.  Different style than DJamer but at minimum look to be better than an injured DJamer like we had at the end of the Big 12 season.

Game two with the Roos
Lockerplant  b-
14 rbs, 16 pts by committee
Human Hyena, Mantool and Meatfart

Mawein got into foul trouble and another poster said Sallah came in and did decent.  Guys last year when DJamer got in foul trouble we either have to have Claws play post or Budhke.  Claws would go timid fearing drawing fouls and leaving the game.  Hot Horndog tried, but was over matched.  Depth.  Meatfart is very mobile and as he grows he will give some meat minutes.

The transfers are jags but Stockard has nice touch and looks like he might make free throws - hopefully he is allergic to thc

Stockard seems like he has loads of talent. The guy just isn't aggressive and has no idea what to do in the lane when the rest of our team is in motion. Last night there were a couple instances that Dean kind of had to move him because he was standing in the wrong spot like a lost puppy

UCIIrvine Eaters
B+  they played well against bigger guys.  Sallah sounds like he just needs to go to basket when he catches the ball
Tobias, for.you.  HHF Award to Meatfart,
Translated Stockard made the most impact as he saved Cat's hairy hindends when the Eatturds went zone in the first half.  Last year we would have died.
