Despite a total inability to play defense, the Stars are off to a decent start. It's painful to imagine what our record might be if we had just a smidgen of D, tho.

Solid passive aggressiveness, but the fact remains that despite a hot start, with a relatively easy schedule, and limited injuries, the Stars have created little separation. The difference between 6th and 7th in the Central (8) is more than the difference between 1st and 6th (7). Dallas hasn't even had the hottest start to the season, Montreal has more points, GF, and fewer GA (fun fact, Montreal has played as many games against Western Conference teams as Dallas has).

Dallas and St. Louis play 3 games in December and Dallas has games against Chicago, Minnesota, and Montreal in between them. If they come out of that stretch in good health and still solidly in the Presidents Trophy race then start the hype train.

There's a lot of advanced statistics going on here that I'm not going to try explaining (mangameslost.com if you want look it up, pretty interesting site). But basically this shows that it's pretty incredible the Blues have done anything this season considering the number and quality of injured players.

I only saw 6 of 'em.... We said "eff it" and bailed to watch the 2H of the 'cats game.

Fortunately, one bad game doesn't knock us off the Western Conference perch but we can't keep turning the puck over right in front of the net.

I feel like our league leading, best overall record & points leader Dallas Stars at 20-5-1 are simply ruining the fun for everybody else.

Lol, I figured watching that game as a Yotes fan was punishment enough.

I do find it a little amusing that the only two good games out of the Blues in about the last month have been against the Yotes and the Stars.
