Stud. If this team has a PG, they might be something. :-(

If gip learned how to pass out of the double team, he'd probably get double teamed less

This is also true.

No it isn't. I don't know why you guys act like he's some kind of turnover machine. He gets doubled because he's a threat to score, and we don't have enough players that will knock down enough shots to keep them honest.

He still is not great at passing out of double teams. Nobody said he was turnover machine and he usually gets it away before the trap happens, but when he does get trapped he doesn't ball fake and often tries to throw through the hands of the defenders. I agree part of it is we don't have other threats, but also because it can be effective if you get the trap set. It also hurts that he's not really that tall or long.

Close enough to agreement. I was mainly contending that even if Gip was an amazing passer out of the double he would still get doubled by every defender other than the guy who is guarding Marcus. The doubles get the ball out of the hands of our second most effective scorer and it forces the ball into the hands of someone who is limited offensively. It's exactly why Self will run a triangle and two at us.

If 2 guys are doubled that leaves 1 to guard 3. It's not enough to say the coaches aren't doing anything to alleviate the problem (a platitude).  He holds the ball too rough ridin' long and is a very bad passer.

The Cats have a PG unless you are saying that you want a PG that can shoot or one that does not repeatedly throw the ball out of bounds!

I don't remember the white tiger playing anywhere near as strong as Nino does inside.

I remember the year that they handed out the Beasley heads on a stick I drew DK's face on the back and held it up. My buddies and I thought it was pretty funny.

MIR i remember you calling Nino ugly or something equivalent to ugly, but you were not commenting on his value as a player so i have no idea what wacky is talking about. (i disagree btw, that smile  )

Nino still doesn't help very well on defense (or at all sometimes), but I really appreciate what he's brought to the team this year. Had no idea how important he would be this year.

Amazing. This is one of the more shocking developments in KSU hoops in recent memory. No one in their right mind would've predicted this in the preseason.
