Is he buds Trevor Releford?

I don't think so. He still lived in Spearville when he started his recruitment. He was only in Olathe for a year or two. He also played for Mo-Kan, and I think the Releford's played for Pump and Run.

His rivals profile shows an Alabama offer but none of the articles I read indicated that they were much of a factor. If you believe the KU people he was waiting for an offer from them that never came. I do remember his UK offer came much later than ours, we felt we had him but we would lose him if/when the UK or KU offer came. Cal went to his football games and all that stuff but still slow played the offer.

Jay Harris on Sportscenter claimed that Willie Cauley-Stein was "set to sign with Alabama" before visiting Kentucky at the last minute. Wat
Yea, I don't think that is true. Brad Underwood coached Willie dad at Juco. I also heard we had somethings to do with having Willie going KC for his senior year, but can't really confirm it. Heard KU coaching staff didn't even consider offering Willie also. Frank end up saying he thought Willie was a better prospect than Ellis.

I seems odd we would have anything to do with him moving in with the Shields, I don't think we recruited Shavon at all

We didn't. Willie and the Shields family became acquainted when Willie played for Mo-Kan while still living in Spearville. His family was struggling a bit and the Shields' took him in.

Not a lot of ppl recruited Shavon, which is weird, because I felt like he was the best player on that HS team. Obviously Willie had more upside, but he was tall, skinny, and gangly in HS and kinda uncoordinated.

Yeah, we are missing three starters to injury presently, one of whom was leading the team in scoring, rebounding, steals, fg% and 3pt%.  Still surprised we beat Maryland and Purdue and won on the road at NW.  Should have beaten IU, but caved at the end.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I am impressed with Illinois.  Most teams would of caved with these injuries.  Groce sounds like a cool dude giving a kid a chance to be a walk on - this is why college BB is so much better than NBA:

Watching this UCLA v. Utah game.  Bill Walton is batshit rough ridin' crazy. His take on a unavoidable post-whistle contact was completely inconsistent with his take on deflategate, which was sandwiched around stubbornly refusing to pick a super bowl winner because both teams were like his children.  I don't know how the play-by-play guy can handle this.

Sulaimon gone.

Krzyzewski doesn't mince words when speaking of the dismissal.

"Rasheed has been unable to consistently live up to the standards required to be a member of our program," coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a release. "It is a privilege to represent Duke University and with that privilege comes the responsibility to conduct oneself in a certain manner. After Rasheed repeatedly struggled to meet the necessary obligations, it became apparent that it was time to dismiss him from the program."

I've liked watching the NBA more than college bball this year.  :dunno:

I think Iowa just recruited a bunch of farm boys/corn chuckers as basketball players. Same with Wisconsin except butter churners.
