Crash Davis should be the starting catcher. Crash Davis is the greatest baseball character of all time. Crash Davis didn't have his triple a contract bought out so he could hold the flavor of the month's stick in the bus league. GTFOO Crash Davis' face.

I can go along with Crash being the starting catcher. As far as him being the greatest baseball character of all time, I'm not so sure. Roy Hobbs still has my vote. Crash is a close second.
