what does 1 lb of b' ends score on the frugality scale?

fairly low. did 'clams go there just to buy burnt ends for the next day or was he aready there eating and then picked up extra for the next day? he can pick up some efficiency points here

i picked up yesterday's and today's food.  had a judges' plate yesterday.

were they placed in exactly the same spot in your microwave? many microwaves have a variety of hot spots and cool spots

well, my microwave has a platter that goes around in a circle when it's running so i guess it just mumped your hot/cool spots theorem right in the ass.

they would be hot and cool circles then

What was the density of each of the piles? (more or less spread out?)
What was the proximity of the each pile to the center of the microwave (i.e. circling around the center or just rotating right on the center)
How long did each stay in the microwave after the cook time had ended?

A lot of variables that haven't been accounted for in the initial assessment.

1) very similar plate density- no piles, each plate only had 1 layer of burnt ends
2) circling around the exact center, these types of things are important to me
3) i was standing at the microwave watching the clock count down to zero and pulled the burnt ends out immediately when the alarm went off.

come on you guys, i'm not a rough ridin' noob.

7 efficiency
1 frugality (where 7 is rotten vegetable scraps from my fridge)

that looks gross. have any of you guys ever made like an entire weeks worth of food on like a sunday afternoon? like make a bunch of chicken and pack different types of ingredients and like rice and veg and whatever or something with it and then you have an entire weeks lunches ready? I may try it.

you're saying that his food looks gross and then in the next sentence ask about cooking 5 days worth of food at one time?  by thursday, that food is 96 hours old.   :nerd:  why not just grab some mold from the bottom of the sewer and eat that on days 3-5 because it's the same thing at that point.   i seriously feel sorry for anyone who eats leftovers that are older than 48 hours (although I limit myself to 24 hours, i understand some of us don't have the resources to eat fresh food).  regardless, enjoy your week of moldy penicillin lunches.

Fiance did this the other day.  Pro Tip: If you are doing chicken, do a sauce with it.  Gets dry after day 2 or so.

also spray it with an anti-disgusting agent.  gets disgusting after 48 hours max.

guy I used to work with did this all the time with chicken.  he has a BGE, so he'd make chicken with rice mostly, and different vegetables.  probably just the BGE, but I do know it smelled really good, so probably tasted good.

I used to be the microwave sack lunch king.  But I got lazy  :frown:

PLUS, they intentionally underpower the microwaves here to prevent people from burning food, setting off the fire alarm and causing millions of dollars in lost productivity trying to funnel out 3k workers from the building.

One thing I like doing, on the topic of sunday lunches is making a big roast and slicing it up for sandwich meat throughout the week.  I'll have to make some and post that!

what kind of dumb dumbs do you work with where people burning their microwavable lunch and causing a fire drill was a regular problem that needed to be addressed?

My office banned toaster ovens for this reason.

OK, so today I had some leftover salad (from yesterday's lunch) and some leftover salad (from Monday's dinner) and I brought in a hard boiled egg to make it into a brand new salad. Plus a side of edamame. And a glass of iced tea that I made using the iced tea maker I have here at work.

I think I get a 7 on all categories.

I buy it at Sam's in a box of about 10 single serving bags. It is in a bag that you microwave for 3 minutes.
