Fred has never won more than 4 road games in any season. Looks like he's trying to keep tradition.

This is the first year that I've been really interested in non-KSU Big 12 games.  I mean genuinely interested.

What a great league.

I don't think texas is very good, maybe I'm just used to them not doing anything

Is Barnes getting too comfy down in Austin? I think he's done a damn good job in Austin on the whole, but he's basically been oscar Weber over the past seven years. I doubt that is what he wanted to be when he grew up.

They did. ISU usually closes out these games more easily when they have that big of a lead late.

If they don't get there this season it would make a full class (4 yrs) of not once sniffing second in the conference. Obv. they aren't terrible, but it's been quite a while since they were a true contender.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I predict ISU goes 6-5 in their last 11 games.  I also predict KSU will go 6-5.

KU will win the league again.  will be a handful of 11-7, 10-8 teams battling it out for 2nd.

And, if we're a 10-8 and 2nd/3rd in conference, we'll be in the tourny.

the committee has said many times they don't look at conference standings.

Generally speaking finishing 2nd or 3rd means you beat at least a couple of good teams along the way but if KU is clearly the only elite team in the big 12 and we get swept by them and are tied for 3rd at 10-8 maybe make for just a high NIT seed.

Also, I think Towniecat posted that there has never been an atlarge bid to a team with 15 losses,10-8 with a loss in KC = 15 :ohno:

We're not going 10-8 and if we do, we're not making the tourney.

First, the conference standings thing has been true, but that's because almost every conference has had unbalanced schedules. Quality wins, road wins, etc. will still be the standard, but finishing 2nd/3rd in the Big 12 will likely mean you've done very well at those things because of the true round robin schedule.

The Big 12 is going to have at least 7-8 quality teams, so if you win 10 games you will probably have 6 quality wins.

As you said, 10 wins puts K-State on the bubble, but probably not in because of the OOC losses. I'd say at least 11 Big 12 wins with 7 of those being "quality" will be minimum.
