Is there a better option for my next card then the Marriott card with 100,000 sign up points? I don't travel enough to have/be working towards any airline status. Same for hotels. This seems like a good starting option for hotels though. I'm closer to getting the INK card! Just need a piece of mail that says "Betty the Astronaut" before they tell me that I need something else too!

I read all the fine print and there is no verbiage about not getting the bonus if you've already had the card mrstdaver got one of those a few months ago. Ended up getting her the Plat for 70k instead so never followed up on the details of having the card previously. Find out and report back.Received the mail offer as well, applied this morning and got approved instantly. Previously had the card June 2015 thru May 2016.well, amex will approve you but that doesn't mean they'll give you the sign up bonus. they may in this instance, I don't know. but they are well known for just not giving it to you without letting you know if you've had the card before.Right, have some large expenses (non travel) coming up though. I'm 5/24 with 2 falling off soon, figure I didn't have much to lose.

the SW priority doens't make sense to me. $15k in spending to earn 65k points seems pretty inefficient unless your running up against a 5/24 issue.
80,000 miles for $15k spend seems fine...especially given it gets you basically to companion pass if you have much SWA flight miles anyways under your belt.

It's 40k points for $1k then 25k points for $15k. That's a lot of money for me to spend to chase a grand total of 65k points. If you're into the side perks it makes more sense.
i would much rather just open a chase ink for 80k URs after only spending $5k
how long will it be around? i'd rather try for it earlier in the calendar year to get max comp pass
