In the whole scheme of things we got off light with Prince.  As bad as he was he recruited some decent players and didn't really set the program back too far.  The secret contract thing was stupid but the money wasn't that big compared to what KU ended up paying Gill or what they will end up paying Weis.

—Later, after another interception was thrown, one of the trainers decided to throw a water bottle at the interceptor's feet. Another trainer ran away to avoid getting trampled. Understandable. Except Prince didn't see it that way and actually LIKED what he saw from the trainer who threw the water bottle at one of his players. "At least he's trying," Prince told one trainer, whose self-esteem was shot.

—One trainer said his favorite part of practice was always when Prince would yell at a player. Just the way he does it, it crushes your spirits. When you make a mistake, you will never forget about it, and you will probably never hear the end of it. If you shrug, or hold your arms in the air palms up, as if to say, "What did I do wrong?" ... Prince goes crazy. Palms up. That's what sets Prince off more than anything. When he sees those palms, he loses control. And not necessarily because a player made a mistake (although mistakes are unforgivable), but because the player didn't know what he did wrong. Eventually, players would learn not to put their palms up. So, when that whistle blows and Prince stops the play, players would turn around, arms at their side, and just take it. They were defeated. They knew not to challenge or protest.

Ya, I hate Ron Prince.  I love great BBS'ing, but also hate the crap out of Ron Prince.  Those two things can coexist, IMO.

When you say things like that, it makes me strongly dislike you for a moment or two (not hate).  I have to take a deep breath and remind myself that our love is stronger than our differences regarding Ron Prince.

Matt Wallerstedt's, as the legend goes. After a Catbacker event in Hays, I believe.

That was all just made up.  People started the stuff to rationalize why a MHK native and KSU grad would leave KSU to go coach at Air Force.  They were in denial about how big of a boob Prince was and wanted some other explanation.

Prince was seeng getting handsy with girls in Hays but they were just random skanks.   From what I've heard the coach of that era that had the biggest problem keeping it in his pants was Raheem.

I want Raheem as our next coach so rough ridin' hard.

Thanks for your understanding. I respect your position entirely, as well, and our love for the Cats will always keep us together.

He looks like someone could knock him over pretty easy from the side.

He looks like a Jenga tower about 20 min in.

Remember that time when we fired Ron Prince and he told the press that we all wore overalls, straw hats and drove tractors to work?

I got a belly laugh out of that one.

cRustyMichMichicat always pulls out the passive aggressive (didn't want Snyder back) stance in all Prince discussion.

It's classic cRustyMichMichicat . . . never, ever fall for it.

Ron Prince should register for a username on this blog.  He could totally dominate this thread and/or the Stud Boss thread.
