Why invest a bunch of money when (very likely) in a couple of years that entire South Endzone is going to be re-done, including a new video board etc. etc.

This. No point in spending a few million to put in some insane new sound system when the acoustics are going to be completely changed in 3 years or so.

Is new turf scheduled in the upgrades? It seems early, that turf has only be used for 6 seasons/years.

I'm basing my information on that it was within the scope of the bid for the field wall and east side improvements. I haven't read any public announcements.

Dax can probably debunk me, but I thought average life span was about 7 years, so as rough as we are on the field and the timing of these final field level improvements, 6 years isn't really that early.
