Who's still open? miss state, UT, Arkansas?

Nebraska, Rice, South Alabama are a few off my head.
And Arizona State and Oregon State and aTm

Crazy, aTm, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and ole Miss are all replacing coaches in the SEC West. And LSU did last year.

Having Bama, and every 3-4 years Auburn being amazeballs will do that to you.
When you have five coaching changes in a division in a single year, it's generally because those teams kinda suck.

If Jimbo goes to A&M, FSU will be vacant.

Is A&M a better job?  Seems like Jimbo has an easier route to playoff in ACC.

I wonder if there is something going to happen at FSU that caused Jimbo to jump ship. :ohno:

No problems at FSU just

at A&M

Seems like those schools would be money better spent on hiring a few private investigators to dig up dirt on 'Bama and try to oust Saban.  Until he retires (or something is revealed to be less than savory) they're just going to be cycling through the next failure.

Matt Campbell just agreed to a new contract, 6 years $22.5 million and another $1 million for his staff. No clue on the buyout yet.

well deserved after his 7-5 “miracle in ames” season

The equinox of equilibrium

7-5, the accomplishment in ames

Better than what they had under Proud Paul. Also winning @OU and TCU are pretty nice feathers in Campbell's cap.

7-5, “Better than Paul Rhodes”, let’s lock him up

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I mean, kind of, but not by much.

Also, this is Iowa State we're talking about, and this excitement seems familiar. Granted, I'll say that Campbell is a better coach and this is better than any of Paul's seasons.

Is their strife in OSU's ADept.?  Thought maybe I remember hearing about Pickens vs. the AD years ago, but that was more in hoops context.  It'd come down to how much Gundy wants out and if he'd disregard or not get OBz' warnings.

Unless it’s a ton of money, I just don’t see much upside for Gundy at Tennessee. He will definitely interview though to angle for a contract boost and extension.

Gundy leaving OSU would be stupid on his part. I'm honestly surprised he is even interviewing, he's pretty much been a staple in some way shape or form at OSU since he was a QB handing the ball off to Barry Sanders.

He's in a place that (mostly) loves him and he's clearly got them winning 9+ games on the reg. Maybe it is a ploy to get Boone to cough up some more dough.

Smoke and mirrors. They did the same thing at the beginning of the coaching search to throw people off.

Pickens loves Mike Holder and is probably the only reason Mike still has the job. Brad Underwood quit basically because Holder did not support "championship level basketball"...

By all accounts, Gundy cant stand Holder and Gundy tolerates Pickens, although Pickens and Gundy have seemed to publicly bury the hatchet this year.

This explains the relationships pretty well...

"Before Pickens would make stadium-specific donations of $165 million in 2006 and $63 million in 2008, he negotiated for Holder to become the athletic director."

why would gundy leave OSU for UT?
why the eff wouldn't he?  he's been stuck in stillwater, OK for essentially the past 30 years.  imagine the hell that must be.  ut brings in what, 100k fans per game in the sec?  he's ready for it.  i don't agree that it's a move for younger coaches but why not get out of that hell hole and our crap conference and get paid, seems like a no brainer.

Plus at this point you know the UTenn donors will be throwing money at him so they can get a good coach...but more importantly save face by showing that they can hire a good coach still. For a crap load of money anyways.
