This class is seriously running out of time..

I'm shocked that we're having a hard time recruiting with a 77-year-old coach who doesn't have a viable succession plan.

I mean, who wouldn't want to sign up for that?

Same crap different year. Why would this year be different then last? Pretty sure last year around this time we were sitting at 18 or 19, this year 12.

We're sitting at 15 with Kyle Ball, Tyler Burns, and Brett Bell as grayshirts.

We had 19 open spots.  But that goes up with defections.

No matter what, we've got about 8 spots to fill, give or take, between now and signing day, and the only visit I see scheduled is Jordan Robertson.

Guys, let's face it... we had a good 20ish year run... let's just go ahead and shut the company down and save some face.

The new normal will be many more embarassing defeates where we don't have the athletes and cobbled together .500 seasons.

The Structure needs a new coat of paint and a new rough, and probably an engineering inspection of the foundation.   Sadly, the elderly owner is trying to outlast the whipper snapper next door with the new BMW and the solar panels and won't be browbeat into making any changes or moving into a retirement facility.

Well, for one thing, you didn't mind watching the offense.

Printing this out and using at my next K-State cocktail party. Literary genius right here. Pulitzer Prize in your future.

In the past, when we've had late visits from guys like Jackson, it means that they're potential non-qualifiers or placements.

Not saying that's true, but possible.

Of course, he could be a casualty of a coaching change, too.

I think I remembered him saying he wanted to stay closer to home over the summer when us and ok state were his leaders, we'll see if that holds true.

"Before I always said (Oregon) was where I was going to go to," Loudermilk said. "Probably because I didn't think they would offer me. Once I got up there and saw everything, it blew me away with how much stuff they had invested in facilities. It was a great visit."

Quote
As a Kansas native, the West Elk phenom has admired LHC Bill Snyder and his Kansas State  program. During a visit to Manhattan, he had a personal encounter with Coach Snyder that left a lasting impression on the young man.

"He rarely talked about football," Loudermilk said of the longtime head coach. "He talked about family and fitting in with the system. It was a great experience."

Fitting into sitting behind some 5-heart walk-ons for 3 years. I mean, who wouldn't be excited about that opportunity?

He has a picture of (himself?) in front of an Oregon symbol appearing to sign something.  I don't do Twitter, but this seems bad.

Well, that fact that our staff offered another DE the day before his announcement seems to suggest the staff don't think he'll commit here. He'd be a great get, though.
