Bulletin board material is a real thing. It doesn't have much to do with actually playing the game, more about how hard you train and focus during the week leading up. If you really want to shut someone up you might do extra reps in the gym, put in extra hours during the week studying film, or skip social events for extra rest/recovery. Stuff that isn't really sustainable to do every week, but makes you better prepared for a game.

If it really takes bulletin board material to get you to put in extra work to be really successful, you probably aren't very good in the first place. Teams that win big make working harder than their opponents sustainable.

That's not really what I'm talking about. Good teams put in work that is "extra" relative to their opponents, but Im talking about work that is "extra" relative to the work your own team typically puts in. Even if you are the hardest working team you can still put in extra effort. There is just a limit to where that extra is sustainable over the course of a season.

I like to imagine Baker getting all super pissed when he read that. He probably printed that crap right off in whatever OU calls their Hale Library, and then took it to Coach Stoops, tears forming in his eyes, to ask for a push pin so he could stick it up on the team's bulletin board. He's going to read it before and after practice every day this week and get all pissed off just thinking about getting tackled by K-State.

Bench him. We have other qbs who can run and throw the ball poorly too.
