i really really like college station.  i've been twice and it was probably my favorite non-MHK big 12 town.  Up there with Boulder and Austin.
I liked it a lot. People were great, too.

Yup, sounds like a typical cult.
I think this yoman guy is on to something....

The people I interacted with seemed pretty embarrassed by their fake army thingy.

Considering Auburn is in the Deep South, I'm impressed that a racial slur wasn't used

Morgantown wins this contest.

But the bonfireaggies were pretty darn nice to us at the 08 Cats game.  Received more free brew just walking toward the stadium than we could drink. Took us nearly 2 hours which was a combo of nice people giving away food and booze because we were wearing purple and that we had to park over a mile away because you cant walk on the grass.

i've never been to a college town full of people more eager to impress visiting fans.

I wish Manhattan were more like this.  I've brought friends to games that were OU and TT fans and both times I was embarrassed by the actions of my fellow K-Staters.  If you don't want to go out of your way to be nice or welcoming to visiting fans, that's completely fine.  But why go out of your way to act like a jerk?  Why not just ignore them?

Its about a bajillion times more interesting and fun to be weird to opposing fans but being nice is ok too. Different strokes for different folks

you've never been to lincoln then. you can't go to a game there without someone trying to buy you a drink and have their wife make out with you. it's over the top and embarassing. then they want to be validated. like "hey let me buy you a drink and you can make out with my wife. by the way, are you enjoying your time here as a visiting fan? has everybody been nice to you? you can grab her boobs if you want, too."
