i think it's a very open question if weber would be fired or not for not making the tournament.  the a.d. has certainly not tipped a hand either way.

the good news is that, six games in, this team looks like it's pretty well balanced to hang on the bubble at season's end and this maryland loss will make getting in that much harder, so we have a decent chance of finding out.

True fans know that no KSU coach could have won under these conditions.  Relax guys, we're just about on the cusp of something special.

Do you know anyone, outside of like 6 people on wildcat salute, who think like this? I don't know a single one, this entire bit is a strawman. oscar will get fired if he can't get this team to make significant improvements.

I think moderate improvements, (say an NIT bid) would be more than sufficient for him to keep the job.

I think it depends on the circumstances, but yes, a NIT bid may save him. I don't think a NIT bid is moderate improvement though, we were not anywhere close to the NIT last year. If we go 7-11 in conference and somehow sneak into the NIT, I think he's gone because we will have no momentum and no energy around the program and I don't think Currie wants to keep running ticket specials. If we are on the bubble with like a 9-9 conference record but get left out because of a garbagey RPI and kenpom, he will probably be retained.

If he wins more games than last year he's fine.

Also when considering the future, I think we will be worse next year. There is no one on this roster at all that can fill the roles of DJamer and Wes. Can you imagine this team without DJamer?  :Yuck:

Yet you defend a coach who can't develop

i really thought that brad korn was going to make the difference for this team, maybe i was wrong.  or maybe he just hasn't had enough time to work his magic upon our young, talented, and eager starlings.  time will tell.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

maybe the kornster isn't putting enough time in at the office.  he needs to learn the snyder way if he wants to get ahead at a school like kansas state.  things aren't handed to you.

This season would be more entertaining if we knew for certain that oscar's job was actually on the line.

We need to get the Panera chick a seat behind or near the bench.

Winning teams make winning plays. Period.

We are not that type of team and haven't been for several years. I don't see it changing.

Weird cop-out. Capitulating to the goEtard masses?

No its not. Control what you can control. We have a lead and finish the game with a stupid TO and then don't make a FT in the clutch. Winning programs make winning plays, we had chances to and we didn't. Melo Tremble did. Its simple to me, but see whatever you want.

Ever coach in major sports trends towards 500 in close games. It's who these close games are against who truely define you.

The 2014-15 team was great in close games and they were crap. It probably helps their close games were at home in conference play but that is the issue. You don't want that to be the case better if your close games are on the road.

Yeah. Great coaches win a lot of blowouts.

My interest level has gone up a little from last year when I missed games because I had no idea we were playing, to this year when I miss games because I change the channel during the first commercial and then forget that I was watching KSU basketball and never change back.

I did God's work documenting the clown show officiating and you dweebs are bitching about weber calling an inbounds play he obviously didn't call.

OT: Was it weber or frank that had the season where we couldn't inbound the ball?

Don't want Frank back. Weber is a worse coach than Frank was. We can do better and should not settle for 4 straight progressively worsening league records and two straight years of no NCAA bid.

Frank, but oscar's inbound plays haven't been much better.
