I can't wait for the mr. touchdown era. it's gonna be real fun.
Kweishi Brown is taking a visit to Nebraska. I take it Arkansas didn't give him his offer back after he decommitted and then wanted to recommit?wow kwame brown had kids a lot quicker than I expected.. house party of da year
perspective. i didn't say it was fine, but temper your expectations.
I mean, this is your quote, you filthy liar
"with or without Derricott, the 2014 class is the best class of snyder redux. practically every single kid has multiple offers from schools in the power 6. . . ."
actually, those statements are mutually exclusive. just because i think that this class without derricott is still the best synder redux class doesn't mean that i won't be upset if derricott does decommit.
I don't think you know what mutually exclusive means.

some of you have insane standards of excellence for the coaching staff when it comes to recruiting. with or without derricott, the 2014 class is the best class of snyder redux. practically every single kid has multiple offers from schools in the power 6 and you want to complain that one guy might flip? welcome to big time college athletics. i expected more out of titletown fans...
Yeah. Losing one of if not our top recruit is fine. We have some two star athletes to fill that void.
we should just recruit really good football players (and then get those really good football players to commit and sign). that's just my opinion though.
i just don't think the staff is doing that bad a job right now. i may rethink that if we lose McDaniel to ISU or So. Miss and Riddle also goes elsewhere.
so, to be clear, you may rethink your assessment if we lose our top targets (including Derricott) to other (lesser) programs and we can't lock down a DT...
Is this your first year following Kansas State recruiting? serious question.
I mean, there's only so much the staff can do. I'll blame them for all kinds of things, but this is just weird.
he apparently wants to play with good players on defense. I would encourage the staff to recruit some good players on defense.
you're right. the staff isn't recruiting good players on defense because they don't want a good defense.
Well, sure, I think our staff wants a good defense. It's just painfully obvious that they're either too old, too lazy, too disincentivized (insert adj.) to go out on the recruiting trail and lock down some real talent to complement Derricott.

Just bring in his bud Errol Clarke. I know there is some mysterious reason we won't, but damn.
Our recruiting staff is a bunch of effing idiots.
I love Rose Byrne. Her music video in Get Him to the Greek was the best part of the movie.
He gone.QuoteJUCO LB Derricott grew up a Miami fan
Garden City C.C. (Kan.) LB D'Vonta Derricott (6-1, 235) is currently a Kansas State commitment, but the Miami Hurricanes have recently come into the picture and made things interesting.
"One of their assistants had hit me up on Facebook and were talking about me and my teammate Errol Clarke and then Coach Barrow called my coach and told him I had an offer," said Derricott.
What did the offer mean to Derricott?
"It was fun because Miami is my favorite school. They have great players and linebackers come out of there. I grew up a Miami fan."
The offer is intriguing to Derricott because of his background as a Canes fan.
"At first, it was just the college, but as I started to get older and learned about football, they were my favorite team. They won all the time and I watch the 30 for 30 all the time because of the style they play with."
Derricott is planning to visit Miami "sometime in January".
"I just want to be in the stadium and see how the environment is because I've never been out there before."
The linebacker originally from Richmond, Virginia says that a good Miami visit could change his recruitment around in a major way.
"If I took the trip to Miami and like it, I would probably decommit (from Kansas State)."
Derricott feels like his versatility and athletic ability separates him as a prospect.
"I can cover, I can come down and hit. I feel like there's nothing I can't do. I'm about 6-feet, 6-1, but my speed is in the low 4.4s so I can shoot the gaps and sideline-to-sideline."
Although a lot of people see the Junior College route as a bad situation, Derricott does not see it that way.
"I didn't have the grades to go straight to D-1 so JUCO is really the last option if you want to play football. I think JUCO is a good experience because you can get bigger schools looking at you."
I want to know what is up with the four star cb we have redshirting/sitting in our pocket from last years juco class.
Didn't Nigel Malone redshirt his first year? If so, seemed to work out pretty well.
No, he didn't. I think Nate Jackson got hurt very early on, so it's possible he might get a medical RS.
My bad. There was a Juco corner that redshirted then had 2 solid years starting but can't recall who it was. Typically it seems that 2 yr Jucos have one solid year and 3x2's that redshirt have 2 solid years. Exceptions to every rule though.
Nate redshirted this year. He didn't play a down iircI want to know what is up with the four star cb we have redshirting/sitting in our pocket from last years juco class.
