I didn’t care for DA.  It’s just such a strange story and James Franco is so grating to hear and watch. I know that’s the point but my god.

Logan Lucky. That Game of Thrones prison riot scene!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I can't even imagine the joy you had making those 'people' spend more time waiting in jail. Hilarious.

Kong Skull Island. Is this a comedy or what because I’m only like ~30 min in and this is about as ridiculous of a movie as I’ve ever seen.

My kids loved Jumangi.  I thought it was clever and well made, and overall worth seeing.  It’s pretty silly, but still fun.

If you loved the original you are in now way obligated to see this one, correct?

The Shape of Water. Critics loved it. I did not. Started with a fun premise: let’s center the story around a 1950’s top secret government installation, but as told through the eyes of the cleaning staff who are given unfettered access to everything. And Michael Shannon is great, even if he’s playing the same “Fascist Christian Bigot” character he seems to play a lot and Hollywood just loves. But the rest of the story was just weird, and not weird in a fun, enjoyable way. I’d skip.

I love Guillermo Del Toro movies but this premise seemed very strange to me.

It’s been a loooong time since I saw that. I remember kind of liking it, but still thinking “that’s some weird crap I wouldn’t mind unseeing.” Like that pink creature with eyes in its hands?

Only depicted by pantomime, fortunately.

I also really liked this one. Great acting and creative cinematography. I had no idea the Tonya Harding story was so bizarre and trashy. It felt maybe 15 minutes too long and I wish there was more about Nancy.
