around the world
« on: December 16, 2016, 11:16:45 AM »
i have recently been looking into circumnavigating the globe. if you use real money it can be done in the $4000-$5000 range, but if you use miles i have been getting results around 125k-160k, which seems crazy low to me. here are a few dummy itineraries using delta's engine and skyteam partners. the key is to find nonstops between your destinations a) because nobody likes layovers and b) because why waste the time flying to a place without exploring it!
also i always end up in tokyo for a punipak  :D

kc - rome - abu dhabi/dubai - guangzhou - tokyo - kc
162,500 + $344

kc - london - dubai - seoul - tokyo - kc
137,500 + $291

kc - nyc - moscow - ho chi minh city - tokyo - mci -
147,500 + $308

you add a couple of GE encounters to your trip
1. Felix Rex = wherever the hell you fly into to go to Jordan
2. Puni = Toyko

i think it is easier biologically /timezonally to go west.

istanbul is a great place.  i think it's safe.

At first I got east and west confused so I was arguing but now I'm agreeing. I don't know if the jet stream is related to the Coriolis effect though.

When you drive on the wrong side of the road, you just switch left and right in your head and, by extension, east and west.
