Doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen, just that Edgemoor may not be doing it.  Should be interesting to see if they go with AECOM or open it back up for vote where Burns could get another shot.

In no way, shape or form do I want AECOM or B&M building this airport. Both have major skeletons in the closet on botched airport designs...

Maybe they learned from them?  :dunno:

I have no idea who is good and who is not.

Trust me on this one Pete!

Edgemoor (Clark Construction) is who we want building this thing.

Everyone is embarrassed except phil
Negotion of a billion dollar project probably should look a little ugly if both sides want a good deal for themselves.

I'll bring up again though...the airport shouldn't be controlled by KCMO alone. Get a regional entity to run it.

What is this? Part of the council wanting AECOM so doing their best to derail the current plan?

Everyone involved- the mayor and the entire city council are all inept.  This process couldn’t have been more mumped up.  Slyin’s lack of transparency bites him in the ass yet again.

And why did the MOU go to an outside attorney instead of coming from the city’s attorney?

This whole thing is a total cluster eff. I’m usually on Phil’s side, but good God this could not have been handled any worse from day 1.

I don't deny it represents quite a clusterfuck situation....just not sure where the blame falls.

yes it will happen...the debate now is if the city can come to terms with the winning proposer, Edgemoor...if not...city will move to 2nd place AECOM.

The clusterfuck aspect is it appears some of the council isn't operating in good faith and is trying to get rid of Edgemoor any way possible.

Yet the funny thing is while he is the constant, the problem has consistently been in the cluterduck part City Council is in this. Who had to make this a competitive bid process when it was going to be no risk to the city coffers in the first place? City Council. Who decided to pick a competitor that is out of city/market? City Council. Who didn't properly vet said pick and being pissed at their inability to meet diversity and community benefits, when they had the rough ridin' chance to go with someone else from the get go? City Council. Sly might be the hatred of your eyes but in this process, it's been the Council who has been unable to do this properly from beginning to end.

Have fun everyone in dealing with this.

And now sly is saying make a deal with edgemoor or redo that process...seems the most sensible course of action...
But if you hate sly can't change now!

slyin- let’s use a private attorney and circumvent the city’s attorney when drafting this mou

city council- can we get a look at this mou?

slyin/edgemoor/private attorney- sure here you go!

city council- half of this mou is blacked out?

slyin- don’t worry ‘bout it

city council- slyin you can eat a dick

goEMAW- slyin does no wrong.  city council’s fault.  I repeat, slyin does no wrong.  does no wrong.  beep beep bop robot noises.

Majority of council (12/13 ) requested outside council be brought in to guide the city through negotiations of this project.  Lucas (who is not a fan of sly) initiated the resolution.

Lol the MOU being "blacked out". Cue up the Jennifer Lawrence OK gif.
