Kansas State Football / If you could lift up the rug...

If you could lift up the rug on one of K-State's "mystery" stories and have access to every single detail, which would you choose? The Venables fallout? The Ron Prince napkin agreement? The Jamar Samuel receipt? It's Patterson? I'm sure there are others I'm not currently thinking of, but I'd really like to know how that stupid receipt ended up in the compliance office.

Kansas State Football / Players skipping bowl games to prepare for draft

Just saw Leonard Fournette is skipping the Citrus Bowl to prepare for the draft. Seems like a pretty big slap in the face to LSU. I've heard of guys switching positions for bowl games to help their draft chances, but never just quitting on the team. Thoughts?

Kansas State Football / Snyder's 200th win

Pretty sure I've seen it referenced in here before, but I think whether Snyder gets his 200th win this season decides if it's his last. I don't think he'd ever admit it publicly, but I think he wants to reach that mark before he hangs it up. Think it happens this season? If so, which game? As much as I'd like it to happen earlier, I'll say it happens against KU in the finale. Would be pretty fitting to do it against a rival he's dominated for decades, in what could be his final game in Manhattan. Thoughts?

Kansas State Football / Stanford and 2004 K-State

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about K-State's defense, but I don't have much reason to think McCaffrey will run wild in the opener. Was thinking about it this morning and Stanford's offense seems really similar to K-State's in 2004. Both were coming off conference championship seasons and had Heisman hopeful RBs, but had very few returning starters elsewhere. Sproles had decent numbers in '04, but he was basically K-State's entire offense that season. Stanford is breaking in a new QB, four new offensive linemen and at least one new receiver. That's not to imply they'll be nearly as bad as that K-State team (maybe Snyder's worst team post-1992). I know Stanford's recruiting classes are light years ahead of K-State's every season. But with it being the first game for so many guys, am I crazy to say it won't shock me if K-State keeps McCaffrey relatively quiet?
