Why did/does Trump want to be president?

Because Obama roasted him?  Just to be able to say he did it?  How could he not have known how badly this would go?  He should've gone on vacation for the rest of his life a long time ago.  This can't be enjoyable.

He could probably work it out with all his political enemies where he'll quit right now and just go chill out on a resort for the rest of his life and not face any negative consequences and be left alone.  He should do that.

I still don't think he'll be forced out or go to jail or any of that stuff, but his life must suck as is compared to the alternative of being a rich retired guy with no responsibility.

I think maybe a more important question is why does he want to continue being president?
It is important to understand he has changed as a person.
He has found God and Country, and is not using the presidency to enrich himself for life like Obama and Clinton.
Secondly his ego and NY feistiness allows him to enjoy the battle.
The line in the sand will be when the mob attack his family which has started with the effort to ruin his marriage, rumblings of indictments against his sons, attacks against his business, and even attacking his young son barron.
Trump is at the age where his legacy is more important than anything. MAGA ain't a bad legacy.  Maybe that is why he attacked OButthole so much because he did not like the direction America was going.
