This law was passed in 2012. 94% of the Senate favored. 80 some percent of the House did too. Law says any Russian found to be a human rights violator can't come to the US or use our banking system. Russia Putin's henchmen have millions of dollars they have stolen from people they tortured in US accounts and companies. They are fearful these assets will be frozen. Russia retaliated by blocking adoptions of Russian kids by US citizens.
A cadre of Russian operatives have been lobbying anyone in DC they can get an audience with to convince them to back the real of the act.
They duped Trump Jr into meeting on false pretense, and then tried to convince him that the act should be repealed, especially for the sake of the orphans. He did not take the bait.

Well RENOsock, this was also right about the time of the Uranium One aka Lippo Group Redeux deal which ultimately put about $2 million (give or take) into the Clinton Foundation Money Laundering Operation.
It was just 20% of a strategic national resource, tho.
Gotta give the Clinton's credit, when it came to selling off vital U.S. national resources to foreign entities, they were incredible.

CNN is reporting that the Trump Jr. Meeting before inauguration was about Russian convincing Trumplings to repeal or soften the Magnitsky Act. If so, a big violation of the law as Trumptesticles was not PresidentInc yet.
