I'm pretty sure the "Sean for HC" movement was more manufactured by boards like this than anything else.  There is no indication Sean ever wanted the job, even if Bill thought he was the best candidate.

True, Sean has never said anything to the media, just Bill.

Also, if either truly wants this, they should take a peek at Georgetown basketball and what happens to a program when this scenario doesn't work out. Ugly.

Fitz was on BITB today and said that it has been Leavitt all along.  Sean was just Bill's way of throwing jabs at Currie since he did not want to Sean to have the job.

How the eff would fitz know?
How the eff would I know how the eff Fitz knows?

Fulmer has one of the biggest egos in Knoxville. Part of that may be true, but he mainly wanted his name in lights again. He is not happy.

It's the truth about his ego. In the time period from the 2001 SEC champ game loss to LSU through his firing in 2008, he used up a lot of political capital. There are a lot of people (prob majority) who wouldn't say a cross word about him, but there are quite a few who feel like his stubbornness in those later years was unnecessary and selfish.

I can also confirm. A friend's dad is a past president of the UT alumni association (during Fulmer's hey-day).Phil has worn out his welcome with the current generation of leadership around the university.
