Comprehensive K-State0: A Brainstorm
« on: August 06, 2011, 01:15:53 AM »
List all the K-Stateo stuff we've done so far.  THIS IS A BRAINSTORM SO THERE'S NO JUDGMENT HERE, PEOPLE.

-poster with tanks and fireworks and helicopters and army guys
-does power towel count?  I think it does
-Sean associate head coach
-The annual "Hey we're gonna shoot off all these Howitzers or whatever!" Day
-world's largest motorcycle d-bag circle jerk
-EZoD mismatch
-including the word "Family" in two of those three stadiums
-Briggs everywhere
-Nickelback and similar bands on the PA during highlights and stuff
-Big Cats and the End Zone Fun Zone from back in the day
-No bathrooms in the upper deck
-High school upper deck
-Mini-jumbotron on North side
-Not using Populace?  (Don't know if this counts or not. Don't know anything about architecture at all, have heard some people complaining.)

What am I forgetting?

Also, I have brought out-of-staters to games before and they seem confused that we do the pledge of allegiance and whatnot before the game.  I always just thought it was normal, because it's what I was raised on, but these people always kinda look at me right afterword and they're all like  .  Also, I know 'tucks love it, so does that make it a K-Stateo thing to do?  I'll hang up and listen off air, thanks.

K-State0 is kind of an enigma.  I mean, sure a lot of it is really laughable, and some is cringe-worthy, but every EMAW loves their own personal bits and pieces of K-State0.

Free hot dogs
Replays brought to you by Garst seed
Stan himself is the personification of K-State0 in the booth (Love Stan btw)
The old "fright night" deal we used to do

Some of these things might not be K-State0??? :dunno:

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Confirmed.  Ceremony of allegiance is very K-Stateo.

Just play the required anthem so we can get on with it.

That hand thing the students do now that they stole from Baylor.  I don't know whats more K-StateO, the motion itself or that our own ideas are so bad we had to steal from Baylor.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Good call, although it's really stolen more from A&M, or at least is a combination of it and Baylor.

So terrible.  Buncha clowns over there in the students section these days imo.

Actually, we didn't steal this from Baylor, we used to do it a long time ago, but that tradition kinda faded until recently.  It's only perceived that we stole it from Baylor. Hand gesturing is not unique in college football, but unfortunately I'm not a hand gesturing type of fan, so indeed the hand gesture is very goofy, awkward, and very kstate0.

That is Kstateo, but its not as bad as SEC schools that do stadium prayer before the game.

The John Philip Sousa Wildcat March.

What would the tucks do if that got eliminated from the pre-game show? Probably a lot sitting, complaining talking about how we should feel honored that JPS wrote a really bad song for us.

I've bitched about this many times before, but the band announcer's overall tone and saying "and I'm so-and-so" at the end of every halftime.

This is the worst part of pre-game.
