Is Pierre Thomas still their main guy?  I just hope Sproles gets like 25 touches per game, dude has shown he can be a great asset.

This, but I never was a big KC fan.  Never really particularly liked any NFL franchise.  SD has pretty much been my team for the last 6 or 7 years.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

What did SD give him last yr as the franchise tag?  Wanna say it was 3.25.  Not sure about that.  Regardless :kstategrade:

COREY ADAMS. Get it right.  :shakesfist: He has a long NFL future ahead of him, just to snap a ball. Anybody know how good of money the average money per year a long snapper makes? I should know this in case my plans fail I'll start practicing my long snapping skills.  :crossfingers:   :kstategrad:

The league minimum last year was 325k.  So that's the absolute least you could make as your salary.

Love how quickly the Chargers fan base writes Sproles off as a guy who was liked only by female fans and is easily replaceable. Never mind their coach is Norv Turner and they now  have no legitimate run game whatsoever.

It is always a good thing if you are a running back playing in a Sean Payton offense with Brees throwing you the ball.

While it wasn't ONLY females, female chargers fans sure did love him.

I grew up a Raiders fan.  I didn't choose that, it's just how it was with my family and such.

Lately they have really sucked so I don't follow them that closely.  I kinda wanted to cheer for the Chiefs, but they're even worse, which is quite an accomplishment.  Even when they made the playoffs though I still couldn't cheer.  And I think the reason is because on Saturday's we hate the KU/MU people so much, how can I then join them on Sunday and cheer for the Chiefs?  I can't.  I am too EMAW.

What?

Sproles only had 50 attempts for 270 yds last year. He was primarily a 3rd down receiver.  Mathews and Tolbert combined for 1500 yds and are back this year.

I hope Sproles gets 300 touches this year to really see what he can do. He never really had a chance in SD.

Yeah, my cousin was a long snapper for Houston and New England. Those positions pretty much get the minimum no matter what. Since the minimum increases each year a player is in the league, it's had to stay very long in a position like that. There's not enough talent difference between a rookie long snapper and a 3rd year long snapper for them to pay the extra money for it.

More importantly, did anyone see how much Brees wanted Sproles on the Saints? "I was calling him, I was texting him, I was saying, 'Let's win some championships. Let's break some records.'"

If you guys are bored and want to make a case for a K-State Wildcat in Canton, here is the guy. He's got a pretty solid shot of cracking the top 10 all time in career all purpose yards. Most of the guys in the top 15 are already in, or will be in the next 5-10 years (LDT, Brown).

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/all_purpose_yds_career.htm

He also owns 3 NFL records. Those tend to help too.

This is surprising to me. I suppose the return yards early in his career are where the majority of the yards came from, but that's a pretty impressive list.
