Price to Toronto. They are 7 back, so likely a Wild Card at best. Price would probably start the WC game and then be only able to go 1 game in the ALDS. Fine with me.

I don't think Toronto even gets a Wild Card spot. This was probably the best case scenario.

Everyone is beefing up their rotation to face the Royals. It's not a coincidence that the Kazmir and Price deals happened when they did.

Possible AL playoff teams, ranked from most scary to least scary for us to face:

1. Houston, even with beating them Saturday/Sunday, they're the team I want to face the least
2. Anaheim, good all around club, Trout and Pujols, but outside of that their lineup is average. No great starters.
3. Toronto, Price makes them a pennant contender IMO
4. New York, I don't want to play in that illegal Stade again. We're better than them though, and with our pen I like us
5. Baltimore, been there, done that. Who exactly will be the starting pitcher you fear from them? Yeah. No one.
6. Minnesota (lol)

I'm a little bit surprised Hamels didn't end up with the Dodgers. He would have been a cheap option to replace Greinke after this season.
I'm happy he went to a non contender this season.
He's from Dallas and it looks like a move for 2016. They'll be loaded next year when Darvish comes back.
Agreed.

Baltimore, Minnesota, Toronto, and the 2nd AL West team are battling for two spots. The Twins are done.

I'd say Toronto has about a 40% chance of getting in.

Minnesota still holds the #2 WC spot.

People have been saying Minnesota won't keep it up for awhile now. Kind of like the Royals of last year.  :surprised:

1 game series I probably agree with this ranking, maybe even flip Tor and Ana. Series against Toronto doesn't really scare me though.

i wonder if toronto is done?  i think they're scarier than you people are giving them credit for, especially if they keep adding.  and their stadium is a little bit illegal too.

Any projections on gordo return?  Anecdotes coming from hud make it sound like he is coming along on schedule or better.

More like 2012 or 13 royals. Which didn't... Twins will do the same.

They said he is looking good but have said the timetable hasn't changed yet.

they probably will fade, but until they're completely out of it, they're my new second favorite team.  go twins.

Hitting off tee this week. Will be doing full BP by end of Toronto series. Not sure what that means in terms of actual/full return but sounds promising. I'd imagine he'll be 7 or 8 weeks when it's all said it done. Adding zobrist and having Rios and Omar performing better surely allows mgmt to take it slow. Can't wait to see this club hit it's stride with a healthy gordo plugged back in.

If the Royals take care of business and sweep the Jays, things won't be looking good at all for their playoff hopes. This series is important if we don't want to play them in October.
