I'm sure that has been covered, but I'm so happy for Duffy.  I have a soft spot for that guy.  I'm rooting for him.
I'm glad for him as well.  He works hard.

Welp, won't be getting Cueto now. That sucks. Maybe Zimmer can fix himself in a day or two and we can trade him to Philadelphia or Detroit before he breaks again.

The Cincinnati Reds had a deal in place with the Royals that would've sent the right-hander to Kansas City, but it fell through because one of the players going from the Royals to the Reds in exchange for Cueto did not check out medically, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Don't bet on that. There is only 2-3 teams really interested in Cueto.  I still believe we have a good shot at him.  I'm loving that we had a "serious offer" they almost accepted.

Deals that get this close often get done. If one of our guys didn't pass physically, and the teams really want to get a deal done, the Reds will ask for another player, and the Royals will come up with one, or two if need be. We shall see.

At what point does a PTBNL come into the mix in trades? Let's just give them like 3 of those and get this thing over with.

A PTBNL? Likely scenario here, and could be soon. That said, this deal really depends on how much the Royals want to give up to get a player who will likely prove to be a rental.

Probably true. Also, IIRC, the teams can have a 48-hour extension during which the Royals can try to negotiate a deal with Cueto to keep him past 2015. If we can do a deal that keeps him here past this season, then LFG!

Thanks to A-Rod for hitting 3 homers against the Twins. Helped us maintain our lead over Minnesota.

We better not miss out on this deal because of a minor leaguer's iffy hip.
