can you train hawks? There is a nest of red tailed hawks in a tree in my back yard and I think I could snatch one of them and raise it. War Hawk?

Awesome Falconry segment on HBO's Inside Sports this week.  Although, Bryant Gumbel is nearly unbearable.

The red-tailed is one of the most trainable of all avian killing machines, and also readily available as you have already noticed. Grab one and get it on a ham diet asap.

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

My dad raised a number of redtails, kestrels, and one barn owl when he was a kid, way before all the federal regulations on falcony.

A good buddy is picking up a redtail when trapping season open.  Mostly for hunting rabbits.  Really looking forward to when we can take pointed pheasants with one of his falcons.

These videos are amazing:

Was fishing today at Lake olathe with my daughter and a bald eagle kept circling the lake.  Only like 50 ft in the air.  Not a flalcon, but was awesome
