i never watched colbert on his last show but he seemed to do better last night once he drug himself out of his monologue and had a guest in front of him

That bit with the cursed amulet and the Sabra hummus was weird and not funny.

I laughed at that bit harder than I have laughed at any late night in a loooooong time.  Like since Letterman was not mailing it in.

That cursed hummus thing was the only thing I have seen so far of Colbert on late night and if that is the funniest then I will not be watching in the future.

I don't watch Seth often enough to give this change a full review but if it makes him more comfotable in his delivery style and thus funnier then more power to him.  The standing opening monologue has been done by everyone for decade after decade so it's about time someone decided to change things up a bit.

New Colbert was virtually no departure from Colbert Report, so I liked it, but 5 hours a week is asking too much.

Colbert is shining post Paris attack.  He had Bill Maher on and kept him in check sort of.  Pretty impresive iyam.
