See, here’s the deal with this kind of headline and this response.

Second, the same physics still apply to autonomous cars. I highly doubt this thing just swerved into her, and she very well could have not been paying attention. An autonomous car still abides by the same physics so if it doesn’t have room to stop then this can happen. Third, as the software gets better it will prevent crashes and fatalities. Tesla had that fatality last year or the year before where it ran under a semi crossing the road. Even with that death it was statistically safer per fatality/miles driven.
That kind of comment is from an ignorant person who can’t see beyond their own nose. I’m sorry but that kind of reasoning without knowing what they are talking about just drives me nuts.
