It has to be hard to watch the program you built with your own two hands get passed on to some other coach. But I think Coach LHC Bill Snyder and Coach Sean Snyder should be able to rest in peace knowing that Coach Kleisman is in charge. You can tell that they are comfortable in the picture.

I tell my grand kids to win the dang day before all of their wrestling meets. I'm glad coach Kleisman says that, too. I know a lot of people wanted some flash in the pan coach from the south with a high falootin offense that would use cuss words, but I'm glad we are keeping things clean enough for the kids. GO CATS!!!

We have a KU Football thread?!

You need to go read up on the poster color/belt system. This thread is "brown" bait

Is that like stink bait? Because poo wee KU stinks.

Wow, I have no idea what any of that means. Those are some interesting politics for sure.

This whole darned thing is so sad. I hate watching a talented young man ruin his life because he turned to hard drugs. Henry at the office was telling me that Marcus was giving his dope to other players and that is why he had to go. I just hope he gets the help he needs. Drugs are horrible.

I think those Middle Eastern goons should just have a bare knuckle boxing tournament amonst their leaders. Then we should give them some beers to cool down with. That's how you build respect. That's how you solve problems. None of this 2 state vs 1 state garbage.

I hope it's a Christmas album

That's what I asked Daryl here at the office. I figured it was another Christmas album sort of like Garth Brooks and the Magic of Christmas was, but nope this is a full real deal album of new music. That's even better if you ask me.

Somebody at work told me that Garth Brooks released a brand new record last week. Any of you guys know about this? Now I'm heading for Wal Mart as soon as I get off work to pick it up. I can't wait! :excited:

Any of you guys catch America's Got Talent today? Oh that old man at the end!

The lady had a penis!

Regardless of what "side" you were were during this ordeal, we can undoubtedly ALL agree that the KSU Athletic Department looks giant a bunch of enormously incompetent assholes as a result.  There are no winners, except for the player who does indeed get her full release, and that coach who left who will probably land Leti now.  Go Cats!

Would argue that the University side is where the incompetency resides. Their committee denied the appeal despite a recommendation from the AthDept that she be released. They then refused any attempts by AthDept to override that ruling. They allowed confidential letters to leak. They put out a pissing-contest statement about how they are bigger than Athletics and their word is final. And throughout, they displayed a sad amount of public and private ignorance of how the world was viewing their actions.

Mistakes AthDept made were not doing a better job of publicly commenting on the reasons for the initial delay, and the Compliance Dept making a clerical error by misreading a name on a list. I understand the silence being based on a very real concern over student privacy, especially when dealing with a student who proves litigious. But the "cone of silence" approach, whether by Currie's advising or not, only served to allow Romero and her coaches to be the only people talking.

But the whole thing could have been resolved long ago without the University side stubbornly resisting any common sense exceptions to "policy", and in so doing, make K-State as a whole look like idiots.

Sounds like K-State is as stubburn as a mule. They best watch out around this spanish girl.

I ate horse meat in Spain once. HORSE MEAT!

Those spanish must be hungry folks.

1. College is expensive and student loans suck. So avoid taking out loans for an undergrad education (work a part time job) and try to have a pretty good idea of what career you want by your sophomore year.

2. If you're not going to grad school, make sure you're getting a degree in something useful that will actually land you a good paying job.

3. Work to live. Don't live to work. It's ok to work a boring job as long as you make a lot of money doing it. Money doesn't buy happiness per se, but sure makes it easier.

4. Invest a lot, and early.

5. Travel a lot. Study abroad in college and do it in a foreign language country and don't waste all your time there hanging out with your American friends.

6. Don't buy a new car.

7. Don't build or buy a new house unless it's the dream home you plan to die in. The depreciation is even worse than buying a new car.

8. Don't buy lots of stupid crap or develop expensive habits like drinking, smoking, drugs, golf, etc.

9. Get married, and choose someone who's better than you (preferably wealthier too, but at least a better person).

10. Don't listen to all the dumbshit advice about using CCs to rack up points or cash back. You'll end up spending and wasting a lot more money than those points are worth. One major exception to this rule is if you travel for work and are being reimbursed - then use your CCs as much as possible to rack up those points.

I guess. Serious question are you a robot?

20
I still just can't believe that this girl wanted to leave KSU. Spain must be a weird place.

21
Well I can try to pray for her but seeing as how I dont even know who she is its going to be pretty hard for me to know how things are working out. As long as you keep updating this story I will keep the prayers coming. You should pray for her too.

22
Drugs are terrible. Whatever you do, don't give this girl money. It will just feed her addiction and she will get on even harder smack.

23
Soon they will be taxing the very air we breathe, so this hole debate is pointless. Time to put this shameful bickering by the wayside, guys. Don't worry about the R's and the D's. Worry about the U's and the Me's.

Good news out of Tioga Downs, guys!!!!! Randy apparently put on a heck of a show, and looks to be on the road to recovery!!!!! Thanks for all of your prayers, but keep them coming!!!!! I don't reckon we are quite out of the woods yet.

http://www.examiner.com/article/randy-travis-shines-at-new-york-concert-performance-therapy

I sure hope Randy continues to get support from his loving fans and can keep out of trouble.

oh man, go get 'em, RT!!! I hope he plays in a nearby California casino soon.

I don't see any California performances on his upcoming tour schedule, but he will be at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on December 13 and 14. Is that close enough?

You know what? It might be!

Oh, that's great! Have fun, michigancat. I just wish that I could go, but the ol wife is saying Vegas just isn't on the BUDGET. Give me a break. Good grief. I just hope Randy can at least keep his act together for me to see him again.

You know what? After reading the story about that guy with the financial trouble, I'm never going to complain about my wife pinching pennies ever again.

Randy laughs in the face of death and doubt.

He really does. It is fun to go back and read this whole thing through.

Just hope he's able to keep doing awesome crap like this without dying in the near future.

If he makes it to the end of this year I might put him on my 2013 Celebrity Death List.

I just laugh at nonsense like this and I'm sure Randy does too. He is a warrior.
