interesting if true. I'm a huge chiefs and tony gonzalez fan and watched a billion of their games. if he did play in college like you're saying, you'd think the announcers would have brought it up at least once or twice but they never ever did.

Ricky, did you even watch the Chiefs in their glory days?  They talked about Tony and the big boy at SD Chargers all the time.  They basically said that most college football tight ends are not large and tall enough for the NFL.  That is why they went for college BB players.

i'm not gonna fact check katdaddy, but there's no way that is right.  basketball and football seasons overlap, the ncaa would never allow it.
