All R presidents of my lifetime have dealt with a hostile press, but today's press has morphed into a unscrupulous bunch who no longer even attempts to appear even handed.

Bush Obama Trump is really all I know about. My scope is fairly limited. That does cover 17 years though.

Honestly, the media isn't at all hard on trump. I figure it's just incompetency, but they barely even expose his unpresidented lying. Pretty big blow to the vast left wing media conspiracy that the ultra right trys to peddle.

The only group putting up a worthwhile battle appears to be the "intelligence community" shadow government thing that everyone has worried is too powerful and unchecked for some time. I even thought the concerns were a little parnoid back in 2001 or whenever the ball really started rolling, but those concerned have been somewhat vindicated--even though they now thinks it's great.
