Doesn't surprise me. Knowing the little slice I get from a few people associated with the Athletic department, JC is a micromanager and obsessed about imagery. To assign have someone(s) to regularly keep a pulse on the goings ons from the outside of k-state athletics sounds exactly like something he would do.

It's actually a pretty smart thing to do when you think about it. Image and public perception are incredibly important things for an AD to understand and manage.

there 100% are employees of the Kansas State Athletic Department who check fan message boards, and I have seen them do it, and it is at a higher level than interns.
