He was a last second spring recruit (4*) that ppl fell in love with. We were just trying to add depth at a very questionable position.

Hubs is decent for a walk-on and we just landed a 4 star out of KCMO that's red shirting. On paper, they've recruited the position fairly well in Snyder 2.0. Sams, the all time single season passer of all time (waters), Delton was getting looked at by LSU, and Thompson. I don't know what more you could ask for.

My understanding is that the kid is a phenomenal athlete and by all accounts a pretty good football player... just not a QB.

Problem is, Cali Love can't accept that fact and would rather toil away on the bench than to switch to a spot where he could be a solid contributor.

At this point, I will be shocked if either Delton or Thompson ever played meaningful time at QB for KSU.  The likely scenario is that they transfer away we end up scrambling late once again to find a FBS level QB.  The staff either can't find, can't develop, or can't keep HS talent at QB.  Having a walk-on QB playing major minutes at a Power 5 conference school is not a good thing.

You guys seriously aren't understanding that chingon is saying that Thompson won't get a fair shot to play until he's like 22 years old and he's too good to put up with that?

I mean I'm all in with Sisco but the fact that Thompson was essentially forced to redshirt without even getting the chance to compete for the starting job is ridiculous. And spare me the old trope about the playbook, our offense is the plainest of vanilla.
