yeah, allegedly Conte texted Costa he's no longer needed. Costa wants to go back to Atleti, but they wouldn't be able to register him until January, so as i understand it could complete the transaction, but couldn't loan him or play him until January. That whole thing is weird though, so who knows. Atleti also said they won't pay more than 20m GBP for him, which the brass don't want to let him go for so little. Honestly, if Conte and Diego could just buck up and get through another season together, we could focus on adding wing-back, and central MF depth and things would be okay, but in a summer that is starting to look eerily similar to the last time we won the title i'm not feeling great.
